2024
Human Rights Advocacy & Charity Organization ADFA (A Demand For Action) delivered advocacy and humanitarian aid work in 2024 with an estimated communication and social impact value of over 20 million SEK ($2.1 million USD)—without a single taxpayer dollar, from any country, spent on salaries.
All members of ADFA are volunteers. There are no salaries, no flashy offices—we work from our laptops, fueled by purpose.

Through strategic media exposure, direct government engagement, targeted aid operations, and storytelling, ADFA created real, measurable change for vulnerable populations in Sweden and internationally.

While social impact is difficult to measure, we've worked to quantify the somehow measurable elements of our work. Examples of social and monetary impact:

-
Svenska Dagbladet coverage: Two articles on homelessness published in Svenska Dagbladet, one of Sweden's largest national morning newspapers, should have reached at least 90,000 readers (10% of its total reach). Valued at 10 SEK ($1.05 USD) per contact, this equals 900,000–1,200,000 SEK ($94,500–$126,000 USD) in media value.
-
International media (Newsweek, CBN, etc.): Four op-eds and several international mentions. Valued using industry ad equivalency and brand lift metrics: 2–4 million SEK ($210,000–$420,000 USD).
-
Policy and government influence: High-level meetings with Swedish and U.S. government bodies (e.g., the U.S. State Department and USCIRF, Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) contributed to shifts in aid policies, for example. Estimated systemic impact: 6–10 million SEK ($630,000–$1.05 million USD).
-
Humanitarian interventions: Support to over 10,000 individuals in crises (e.g., Sweden, Iraq, Egypt, Armenia, Ukraine, Syria and Lebanon), with the help of several collaborations with other charities. Estimated social savings and personal impact: 1–2 million SEK ($105,000–$210,000 USD).
-
Future-value projects: Survivor Jewelry and MATLÖS (FOODLESS) are expected to generate awareness, revenue, and policy engagement. Projected value if implemented in 2025-2027: 5–8 million SEK ($525,000–$840,000 USD).

These figures use standard industry methods for measuring social and communications impact.
ADFA generates measurable impact with minimal resources and maximum reach. We have not even included the impact ADFA has had through social media outreach, or the value of network effects at international summits we attended and volunteer fieldwork.

This is a condensed estimate based on our 2024 Annual Report – which contains much more. It is also worth noting that apart from these measurable results, our galas, like the one in December 2024, have accomplished objectives beyond fundraising. They have raised our profile through the voluntary participation of Swedish and international celebrities, spread awareness, generated goodwill and attracted new volunteers and donors.
